What’s your favorite part about DJing weddings?

DJing a wedding is such a privilege. It's so exciting to be a part of one of the biggest days of a person's life. I like to think of every wedding as the Superbowl. Everyone is excited! I have a passion for music and love to make connections with people. The most rewarding part of a wedding is being able to present Mr. and Mrs. for the first time at the Grand March. 

Why do you think someone should hire you to DJ their wedding?

I bring my "A" game to every wedding. I make sure everything sun's as smoothly as can be and as stress-free for the couple as possible. It's my job to make the bride & groom’s day spectacular. With my fun personality and professional approach, wedding couples can expect a fantastic wedding reception; a day never to be forgotten. 

How would you describe your MC style?

I bring smiles, energy, and excitement into the room when I MC. Its all about building excitement for the guests as they await the wedding party, and following up with delivering an excellent experience as the reception goes on. All this is done professionally, I speak carefully and prepare what I'm going to say beforehand. If issues or complains arise, I handle them in a calm and controlled manner, and look for the best solution. 

How do you like to keep the dance floor rockin’ all night?

I really enjoy quick mixing, moving from one song to the next and transitioning at appropriate times. People have a relatively short attention span. It's my job to get a feel for the crowd and what people want to hear. If the dance floor is empty, I put my head down and mix. I don't like to "reserve" or save hit songs, I play them usually early on to get things moving. Once I got a small crowd, I build off them.

What’s one fun fact that most people don’t know about you?

The average person doesn't know that I make music. I love to sing, rap, produce, and perform. I publish my music on all music platforms under the artist name "Luke Staude". I pour my heart and soul into the lyrics and message of every song. Once a year, I perform a concert live, showcasing my best music. It's a very rewarding experience and hobby of mine.
