What’s your favorite part about DJing weddings?

The dance party! I love it when a little kid enters the dance floor and you can tell that they've never seen LED lights plus a professional sound system before. They dance so hard. It's the greatest moment of their little lives for now. 

Why do you think someone should hire you to DJ their wedding?

If you are a stickler about music then I am your DJ. Everything that gets played is intentional and I put a lot of thought into a playlist to make sure that the greatest number of people are dancing for the longest amount of time. If I get a song request, I don't necessarily drop it right away. I wait until the right moment because I'm always thinking about the musicality and the flow at all times. But even if I did drop it right in, you would enjoy your song request very much -- because I'll be playing it in primetime for you and your loved ones, in hi-fi over a beautiful sound system. 

How would you describe your MC style?

To the point but pleasant, sometimes humorous if the timing calls for it. When I am on the microphone I am probably just helping the timeline move as it needs to. I always try to make it about the couple. 

How do you like to keep the dance floor rockin’ all night?

I study the crowd and have music prepared for different groups of people. This is why 90% of a dance party's success comes down to how well I prepared before the wedding day. All great DJs will have their arsenal of songs that are time-tested "bangers". It's important to know when to play those songs. For example, I don't play Journey's Don't Stop Believin' while folks are still sober but I am likely to inject some energy early on with classics or a popular group dance song. There are many other smaller, nerdier tricks to being a good DJ that we keep a secret.
